"艾美,爱上海"新视角展现上海人文与历史
上海世茂皇家艾美酒店艺术展即将开幕
国家旅游地理 上海5月10日讯 2013年5月24日至7月24日,上海世茂皇家艾美酒店将举办以“艾美,爱上海”为主题的艺术展览,邀请赵丹虹为策展人,展示四位中外艺术家陆元敏、Virginie Lerouge Knigh、肖可霄、胡承伟的摄影、装置等艺术作品十六件。
喜达屋集团管理的上海世茂皇家艾美酒店,坐落于南京路和西藏路交汇点,是上海市中心的坐标原点,因其特色建筑风格和优秀服务品质,在国际上赢得诸多殊荣。喜达屋集团极其重视艾美酒店艺术文化的推广,为此,上海世茂皇家艾美酒店在一楼专门设置艺术展览区域,把标志上海文化特色的海派艺术元素运用于展览各个细节中。

中国著名的人文摄影家陆元敏先生,忠实地记录了上海四十多年的变迁历程,他的摄影作品被公认为是最能代表上海的图像。不管他是使用传统的胶片照相机,自己手工冲洗,还是用LOMO照相机、手机拍摄,都有着特别明显的从容淡定的“陆元敏Style”。这些作品是十多年前陆元敏老师自己手工精放的黑白摄影作品,是苏州河和南京路的旧貌,略微泛黄、有着陆老师的签名,每四幅作品组合成一组,这六组24幅珍藏多年的艺术品,让每位进入世茂皇家艾美酒店的客人,或浏览,或驻足;或怀旧,或回忆,在视觉上将大家的情感自由亲近地联络起来。陆元敏之所以被称作大摄影师,就是因为他的作品突破了人们寻常的视觉习惯和审美惯性,不只是用眼睛观看,更让观者的大脑随着这些图像产生联想,启发人们的思维和想象。
胡承伟摄影作品60x90cm
来自法国的女性艺术家Virginie Lerouge Knigh,旅居上海已经六年多,她是著名的环境艺术家兼医学博士。她从日常生活中获得灵感,擅长将现成物品进行再创造,以视觉艺术的形式作出环保倡议。这次展览展示Virginie的四件小件作品:一个自行车模型驮着一个红色轿车模型的轿厢,恰似拯救地球的“诺亚方舟”;还有一组三件作品分别是生锈的自行车龙头、坐垫和车轴齿轮,被安置在粉色系缎子内,镶以典雅厚重的镜框。类似奢侈品的包装与生锈的物件组合,让观者自由联想。
肖可霄,外滩影像艺术家,媒体人,他已专注地拍摄外滩15年。肖可霄经常用多媒体影像DV作品的形式,表达他内心的上海情怀。为这次展览,他特别创作一幅“爱”的作品,是他十年来在上海的任何角度,拍摄的世茂皇家艾美建筑外形照片,拼接成一幅类似二维码的影像,一米二见方,高精度铝塑板数码输出,成为本次展览的亮点。肖可霄的作品与观众进行微博互动,从而用当代摄影语言,提出自己的思考,也是肖可霄与艾美品牌酒店的第三次合作。

已经在上海生活了十多年的重庆人胡承伟,把上海看做是他的第二故乡,他的家人也迁居上海,上海的秩序井然和便利生活使他不想离开,而更重要的是,他对上海人的印象也变得越来越具体而真实了。外滩和南京路,自然是他拍摄得最多的地方。他的镜头总是在寻找相同街景上不同的人,时间的变化和天气的差异。胡承伟的图像有着新闻的时效感,并带着对这座城市的想象。2013年5月初,胡承伟代表艾美集团赴普吉岛,与国际摄影师进行了交流采风。这次展览选取了五幅胡承伟拍摄的富有特点的上海风景。
上海的海派文化,有着海纳百川的气度和胸怀,以中西合璧、新旧融合的理念,将世界各地的艺术特色,从时间和空间上进行糅合,重新创作出属于上海这块土地上的独特的艺术风格。这四位艺术家,从不同的角度,发现着上海这座城市的美,不管何时何地,只要有一颗热爱生活的心,一切都是好玩好看,他们更是积极的生活家。5月24日18:00开始的“艾美,爱上海”艺术展开幕活动上,大家可以和各位艺术家自由交流,从这个独特的视点,欣赏到上海的美景,从形式,到内容;从视觉,到心灵。

AIMEI, AI SHANGHAI Theme Art Exhibition is to open
at Le Royal Méridien Shanghai
From May 24 to July 24, 2013, “A New Perspective On The City of Shanghai—— AIMEI, AI SHANGHAI” theme art exhibition is to open at Le Royal Méridien Shanghai. Being “A New Perspective” event, this exhibition will enrich Le Méridien’s approach of curated experiences in the world of the arts, transforming Le Méridien into a creative hub. Guests will be stimulated and experience a new perspective through an interactive dialogue with the artists.
As the tallest building west of Huangpu River, Le Royal Méridien Shanghai offers five-star service, modern design and limitless opportunities for discovery. Curated by Ms. Holly Zhao, this exhibition displays 16 art works by Lu Yuanmin, Virginie Lerouge Knight, Xiao Kexiao and Hugo Hu. An exclusive exhibition area has been set up for this art exhibition on G floor of the hotel.
Shanghai style, which is rich of history and cultures acquired over time, has been strongly influenced by Chinese and Western cultures. It features the combination of artistic characteristics all over the world both in time and space, and recreates the unique and distinctive style that only belongs to Shanghai. On the opening ceremony on May 24 at 18:00, everyone will get an opportunity to join this event for artistic exchange to discover Shanghai with the “new eye”.
About Lu Yuanmin
Lu Yuanmin is a member of China Photographers Association, executive member of Shanghai Photographer’s Association, President of Putuo District Photography Association. He is an artist and social documentary photographer with his major works includes Shanghai People, Suzhou Creek and LOMO Shanghai. Lu’s every art work grasps the breath of the city of Shanghai and reflects Shanghainese’ real life. Lu Yuanmin has initiated his own style, recording every change of Shanghai in 40 years. His works are not only a visual record, but stimulate our imagination.
About Virginie Lerouge Knight
Virginie Lerouge Knight, Environmentalism Artist who also holds a doctorate in chemistry, is a French artist who has been living in Shanghai for 8 years. From 2003, Virginie has presented several public art projects and many group exhibitions in Shanghai, Hong Kong and France. Virginie prefers to capture inspiration from daily life, recreate art works with ready-made materials, and calls for environmental protection.
About Xiao Kexiao
Xiao Kexiao, a photographic artist, has been taking shots of The Bund for 15 years. Xiao’s artworks “Love” for this exhibition are selected from his numerous pictures of Le Royal Meridien Shanghai. He makes use of QR code, which is filled in with Xiao’s photos to create a Chinese character (Love) in 3D, as the mean to propose his philosophical as well as call for audience interaction.
About Hugo Hu
Hugo Hu, a press photographer for foreign media, has lived in Shanghai for over ten years. After his family moved to Shanghai, he regards this city as his second hometown. Hugo’s works feature the timeliness of news and the imagination of this city. This month, Hugo also went to Bali Jimbaran for FIRST NIGHT, an international LM photo workshop.
