用语言助力乡村振兴，用语言推介美丽乡村。近日，东南大学外国语学院羽翼实践队走进厦门市海沧区东孚街道，将专业实践与志愿服务相结合，开展“以语译为羽翼，助乡村共振兴”东孚旅游外语翻译实践活动。连日来，实践队成员顶着烈日用脚步丈量乡村，走遍东孚坊间巷陌，认真收集各大文旅点位的名字、介绍等信息，发挥专业优势，让东孚辖区主要文旅点位首次有了英语和日语翻译。为推动做好多语言的乡村文旅服务，谨将该实践队的翻译成果陆续配图刊发，助力乡村振兴。

 

东埔玛瑙村

Dongpu Agate Village

东埔社区，被誉为“中国玛瑙村”，上世纪90年代与玛瑙产业结缘，如今已成为全国最大的玛瑙原材料集散中心，也是福建省乡村振兴试点村。

Dongpu village is known as the "Chinese agate village". In the 1990s, the community became involved with the agate industry. Today, it has become the country's largest agate raw material distribution center. It is also a pilot village for rural revitalization in Fujian Province.

东埔不出产玛瑙，却成为中国玛瑙之乡，由其带来了海沧玛瑙产业的兴起，写下了一段海沧民营经济嬗变的传奇。背后的故事，要从跑出租的张武阳说起。1992年4月的一天，当时是出租车司机的张武阳在机场附近拉到台商郭武昶，当得知他想在厦门选址办玛瑙厂时，张武阳便推荐了家乡东埔：“我们那边人多地穷，只要有出路，大伙什么苦都肯吃！”郭武昶被张武阳的真诚打动，随之来东埔考察、设厂，但由于经济效益不理想，两年后，郭武昶决定关闭工厂。敢想敢拼的东埔人，主动盘下了设备和厂房。起初，他们提着几麻袋玛瑙找市场，针对工艺开发新设备，几番周折，转机出现在2001年的“98投洽会”上。会议期间，东埔玛瑙签下了近2000万订单，从此东埔玛瑙“一战成名”。

Dongpu brought the rise of Haicang agate industry and wrote a legend of the evolution of Haicang private economy. Dongpu does not produce agate, but it has become the hometown of China's agate. This starts with Zhang Wuyang, who runs a taxi. One day in April 1992, Zhang Wuyang, then a taxi driver, picked up a guest near the airport, Guo Wuchang, a Taiwanese businessman. When he learned that Guo wanted to choose an agate factory in Xiamen, Zhang Wuyang recommended his hometown, Dongpu. "We are poor, but everyone is very hardworking. There are many people who are willing to work for money as well."Guo Wuchang was moved by Zhang Wuyang's sincerity, and then came to Dongpu to investigate and set up a factory. But the economic benefits are not ideal. Two years later, Mr. Guo decided to close the factory. The Dongpu people who dared to work hard took the initiative to buy the equipment and plant. At first, they carried sacks of agate, looking for an agate market for sale. They developed new equipment for the agate making process. After several twists and turns, the turning point appeared in the "98 CIFIT" in 2001. During the meeting, Dongpu Agate signed nearly 20 million orders, and since then, Dongpu agate has become famous.

经过东埔人三十多年的努力，如今玛瑙产业年产值超10亿元，创造了超5000个就业岗位。玛瑙原材料产地来自巴西、乌拉圭、马达加斯加、印度等国，年进口世界各地玛瑙原石超3万吨，是全国最大的玛瑙原材料集散地，其中玛瑙手镯和戒指的市场在世界占有率高达90%，开创了“东埔致富奇迹”。

After more than 30 years of efforts by Dongpu people, the annual output value of the agate industry has exceeded 1 billion yuan and created more than 5,000 jobs. Agate raw materials from Brazil, Uruguay, Madagascar, India and other countries. Dongpu is the country's largest agate raw material distribution center, importing more than 30,000 tons of agate raw stone from all over the world every year. Among them, the market share of Dongpu agate bracelets and rings in the world is as high as 90%. The prosperity of Dongpu Agate Village is a miracle.

如今，随着产业转型升级，今日的东埔玛瑙村正在探索一条以文创、研学、直播电商为主的发展路径。

Today, agate industry transformation and upgrading. At present, Dongpu Agate Village is exploring a development path based on cultural innovation, research, and live e-commerce.

到了东埔玛瑙村，可以随便走进一家店铺，直观领略玛瑙宝石的魅力，甚至你可能会遇见难得一见的艺术珍品，一眼就足以刷新你对玛瑙的认知。

When you get to Dongpu Agate Village, you can randomly visit an agate store. Here, visitors can directly appreciate the charm of agate stones. You may even come across rare art treasures here, which can refresh people's understanding of agate.
